We are all blind.

This is not a myth but a scientifically proven fact that we all are blind. We are living in illusion and our life is also just an illusion.
Let's explore how?

Who is blind ?

The actual definition says that a person who is unable to see or lacks sight due to any injury, disease or a congenital condition is termed as blind.
Generally a person who can not see is blind.

How do we see?

It is said that we see the world with our eyes but that's not entirely true.
Not going into the depth of biology, we are only going to have a blueprint of the working of the eyes.

How your eyes work?

When light rays reflect off an object and enter the eyes through cornea, You can then see that object.
The cornea refracts, the rays that pass through the round hole of pupil.
The iris opens and closes, making the pupil bigger or smaller. This regulates the amount of light passing through
The light rays then pass through lens, which changes shape so it can further bend the rays and focus them on the retina.
The retina sits at the back of the eye, is a thin layer of tissue that contains millions of tiny light sensing nerve cells. With the help of these cells retina converts the light rays into electrical impulses and sends it to the brain and finally we see that object.

Why we are all blind?

The retina which creates the image into the eyes in form of impulses is actually a two dimensional surface.
But it is mathematically impossible for a two dimensional surface to figure out this three dimensional world.
What actually happens is the retina creates a two dimensional image and sends it to the brain. The brain operates the image and assume the depth of things in that two dimensional image, And based on its assumption it figures out a three dimensional image and that's what we see.
So we don't actually see anything we just assume things and live in a illusion.
That's how we are all blind.

Many people tried to prove that the assumptions of the mind could be wrong. And here is an example too:-

Ponzo illusion:

The "Ponzo illusion" is a geometrical-optical illusion which was first demonstrated by an Italian psychologist Mario Ponzo in 1911.
He suggested that the human mind judges an object's size based on its background.
He showed this by drawing two identical lines across a pair of converging lines, similar to railway tracks.
Here we can see two yellow lines in the figure,
The upper one looks longer but
Both are of same sizes.
Many more such kind of optical illusion have been demonstrated.
"Müller-Lyer illusion" is also a good example.

Illusion to reality.

The reality is that we all die believing the assumptions to be true. But none of us have actually seen the world.

People are not blind just because they can't see this world or they just live in assumptions.
They are blind because they are not ready to see the reality, they just want to see what's beneficial to them.
Their eyes are covered with anger, lust , selfishness.
